From humble beginnings to collaborating with big names in the industry, Amaya’s journey is a testament to resilience, authenticity, and the power of dreaming big.

Amaya’s journey to becoming a social media star is a testament to the power of persistence and staying true to one’s self. What began as a simple suggestion from a friend at the salon has turned into a thriving career that has touched the lives of thousands. “She said to me, ‘Amaya, you’re so pretty and funny! You’d be amazing at this,’” she recalls with a smile, reminiscing about the moment that sparked it all. At the time, Amaya didn’t even have a phone of her own, often borrowing one just to create content. But this did not stop her; in fact, it only fueled her desire to pursue this new path.

In those early days, Amaya’s content was not polished. The lighting was imperfect, the editing minimal, yet her authenticity shone through. She knew that her real strength lay in her personality, and that was enough to draw people in. “I would tell myself, just post it—someone out there will enjoy it,” she explains. And that’s exactly what happened. Slowly but surely, her audience began to grow, and each like, each comment, reminded her that she was on the right path.

Amaya’s content evolved over time, but what has always stayed consistent is her authenticity. As her platform grew, she was approached by numerous brands. Among them was Only Us, a brand she proudly collaborated with, as well as The Alister Corner. These collaborations allowed her to expand her creative horizons while remaining true to her personal style. “The behind-the-scenes moments were always the best part,” she laughs, recalling how much fun she had working with these brands and pushing the limits of her creativity.

While her rise to fame may seem effortless, Amaya’s journey has not been without its challenges. She openly admits that at times, the pressures of social media took a toll on her mental health. “I battled with depression and anxiety, and at first, I never shared it with anyone,” she confesses. It wasn’t until later, as her following grew, that she found the courage to speak out about her struggles. “It’s okay to not be okay,” she says softly, offering a message of hope to anyone facing similar challenges.

Her faith has been an anchor throughout it all. “I run to God in both good times and bad,” she says, her voice filled with conviction. “He is my anchor.” Her belief in God has been a constant source of strength, and she often turns to prayer when faced with difficult decisions or moments of doubt. This spiritual foundation has helped her maintain her balance in an industry that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Amaya is also incredibly grateful for the people who have supported her along the way. She credits Thato for helping her capture those memorable moments. “He’s always snapping pics and shooting videos whenever, wherever,” she says fondly. “He’s a real one, and I appreciate him so much.” Her boyfriend Tee Jay, her close friends Nikita Ronnel and Rirey, and her mom are all mentioned as being crucial to her journey. “My mom doesn’t understand the social media world that well, but she’s my number one fan. She’s always there cheering me on,” she says with a smile.

Despite her success, Amaya remains humble and grounded. “I always remember where I came from, and I never take my followers for granted,” she says. Her connection with her audience is something she cherishes deeply, and she is always striving to create content that resonates with them. “I want to inspire others, especially young people, to follow their dreams and not be afraid to step into the unknown,” she adds.

Looking ahead, Amaya has big dreams for the future. She hopes to collaborate with global brands like Nike, something she’s always wanted to do. “I’ve always admired their work, and being part of something that big would be incredible,” she says. She also plans to expand her content by vlogging and giving her audience a closer look at her everyday life. “People only see the glamorous side, but there’s so much more to me,” she shares.

Her aspirations go beyond just brand collaborations. Amaya envisions herself growing as a creator, reaching new heights in her career, and using her platform to positively impact even more people. She is driven by a deep sense of purpose, knowing that her platform isn’t just about fame or money, but about inspiring others to find their own voice.

Amaya’s story is one of resilience, faith, and the unwavering belief that anything is possible. Through the highs and lows, she has remained true to herself, and that authenticity has been the key to her success.
